Hi Everyone! I have been MIA for the last several days – 5 to be exact! First we lost power due to the snow and when we got that back after 2 fun days in darkness we went an additional 3 days without phone/internet/cable. Can’t complain too much, we are all healthy, we didn’t lose any food, and things could always have been much worse. So let’s celebrate having power and being connected to the modern world again with a highlight post and giveaway from Fat Quarter Shop!

I can’t think of a single thing about Fat Quarter Shop that I don’t love. They have some of the fastest shipping around – same day if you order before 3pm central time.  The service is unparalleled, Kimberly and Stephanie have both helped me match solids to prints – I have a hard time doing that on the computer. They are always willing to take the time to make sure you have exactly what you need.

One of the things I really love about Fat Quarter Shop is being able to surf through their Coming Soon section and plan out future projects. Here are a few of my favorite new lines coming out soon:

I can’t wait to get my hands on 10 Rubber Ducks designed by Eric Carle – I swear Anne has almost every book of his and we love them all!

I love Thomas Knauer – how cute would Flock be as a pillow and bedding set for Anne?!? Love it!

Oh My LORD! Don’t you just love this line! I am envisioning so many fun projects – I see a Fat Quarter Bundle in my future!

This month Fat Quarter Shop has generously donated a Lazy Angle Ruler – come back Wednesday for a full review and a 3 day tutorial on how to make this table runner!

Not only will the winner receive a Lazy Angle Ruler they will also win layer cake of Prairie Paisley II!

    The Aunt Grace Keepsakes line is just so cute. Oh, but the Best Wishes and Sincere Best Wishes are just gorgeous with the blues and the browns. You just have to wipe the drool off your keyboard after looking through the Fat Quarter Shop’s site.

    Love the new 10 Rubber Ducks–my sister loves rubber duckies 😉 …and I like Alpine Wonderland too….oh, there are more pages….um….I like ‘Blitzen’ by basicgrey/moda. I’ve used their lines several times and love the feel of the fabric.

    I found a collection I hadn’t noticed before called “Floral Whimsy” by Northcott Fabrics. SOO sweet, so feminine & beautiful… So, that is what I’m eyeing!

    I never even made it to the bottom of the list and I had a list of about 15 that I must have. LOL
    I’ve started really loving the old fashioned fabrics so the Aunt Grace Keepsakes by Julie Rothermel caught my eye.

    And speaking of old fasioned – how adorable is “Dear Mr Claus” by Cosmo Cricket? LOVE IT!

    And then “Whoville Dr Seuess” is awesome. I just love that one and will need lots of it.

    Last but not least, I MUST have “Maxine”. I LOOOOOVE Maxine. And I just sent hubby an email with a subject line of “*WARNING*” telling him I am putting him on notice that I will want LOTS of Maxine when it arrives. LOL

    I’ll be honest here with my answer. I searched for a long time before I saw anything that caught my eye. Most everything is so muted that not much is to my liking. 🙁 I did find 2 that I like and they are Fly Away and Floral Whimsy.

Haven’t worked with a Jelly roll yet, would love to try it. Also Blue Eden , Lil miss Sew &Sew fat quarter bundle, Penelope series five and four, and the periwinkle Penelope Five.     Been to the Fat Quarter Shop – pick 1, oh too hard. However if I have to I decided on Floral Whimsey bu Northcott fabrics. I haven’t used many brights & this collection looks like the perfect way to leap into them.
