So I am Swooning Along with some 800+ other quilters. I am just doing one block a month and this month, I really wasn’t sure I would make my self set goal of one block per month. I had family visiting from Idaho this week and there were 3 toddlers running mad through my halls. The amazing thing is that each day the kids managed to take a nap at the EXACT SAME TIME!!! That meant Lisa and I got to visit and sew while they napped!
Here are my first 3 blocks
I am making my blocks out of Half Moon Modern and highly considering tracking down some more fat quarters so that I can make it king size. Is that totally crazy???
Don’t forget that today is the last day to enter the fabulous giveaway from Fat Quarter Shop! You have until 9pm tonight to enter!
No, it’s not crazy….Swoon quilts are gorgeous and yours will be especially so as the three blocks you have made so far are stunning! I’m not going to peek at Half Moon Modern to see what you might come up with next – want to be surprised. 🙂
Beautiful blocks Melissa! This is really going to be a neat quilt!
NO, not crazy at all you should go for it! The three blocks are beautiful.
either that or….just add borders. :o)
Your Swoon blocks look amazing, so it’s not crazy at all to think about getting more fat quarters to make a king size quilt. I bet it would turn out wonderful. I love that you chose Half Moon Modern – the scissors print is my absolute favorite!
I am so glad we managed quiet crafty time with all of the kiddos! I loved being in your “woman cave” with you instead of just on the phone! 🙂
lovely blocks
Those are awesome. I love Half Moon Modern.
Can’t get over how GREAT the yellow block with the grey stripes looks! WTG!

Gorgeous! You and Half Moon Modern rock!! 🙂
I am swooning over your blocks! LOL Beautiful! I have my main fabrics selected–but will be buying the pattern in the same order with my background fabric–so could you tell me how much yardage is needed for the background? THanks!
Not *totally* crazy! Not if you like the blocks and making them. I love the movement that zigzag print gives the block!
These blocks are so gorgeous! I love the color choices for each block. 🙂
