The last 2 weeks I haven’t been doing too much piecing. Mostly lots and lots of quilting. This is a sneak peak at my secret project. This is going to be turned in to my second pattern. I am really excited about it and I can’t wait to share it with you.
I have also finally gotten to quilting the Twirling Around Quilt.
Here I am working away with my headlamp in place. You may remember this as my secret weapon for when I paper piece. It is also my secret weapon for quilting, sometimes piecing (depending on the available light), and all handwork. Every quilter and sewist needs to have hiking headlamp. I LOVE mine!
Don’t forget to go enter the generous giveaway from Contemporary Cloth and if you like to sew dresses, go check out the giveaway I am sponsoring at Hopeful Threads!
Have a wonderful day!
Too funny! My Dad LOVES wearing a headlamp for lots of work aroun the house I had never thought of getting myself one for quilting!
OK kids, step quietly away from the mad lady!!
Actually it’s probably a really great idea! x
I NEED a head lamp for my dim sewing space. And definitely want to try out those gloves… they looked like they made things easier when I was visiting. 🙂 Cannot wait to be able to buy the pattern for your secret project!
Hey, I think that’s an awesome idea! Maybe I need to check out the outdoors store next time I go into town! Can’t wait to see your pattern at the online store and snatch it up!
ROFL, I use my head torch for night/sunrise/sunset photography, I just have a daylight lamp by my machine 😉
You look so cute with your headlamp on!! I never thought of using something like that, great idea! Can’t wait to see your new pattern too!
Love that picture of you quilting! Thank you so much for sharing the site for the Make A Dress project. Your sponsorship is wonderful, but I didn’t enter because I’d rather have someone win who needs the help to participate. I’m on a trip, but when I get home, I’m going right over to a fabric sale I know about and buy enough to make a dress. Are you using the pillowcase pattern, but just hemming the bottom instead of using a pillow case?
You look like you are hard at it with that head gear..the very picture of …industriousness and productivity! Great going there.
Ha ha…I have two headlamps. The first one was given to me with the instructions that I could use it for quilting.
That’s a great idea about the headlamp – I have a bright light attachment on the machine, but the vibration of the machine always makes it slip downward and way out of whack. Looking forward to your Big Reveal!
