Which brings me to Vacation!!!
My husband and I are taking our first ever vacation without our baby girl. We will be spending 4 days in Victoria, BC in Canada. I am so excited and so nervous at the same time. I know Anne will be fine, her Nana and Baba (grandpa) will be staying at our house with her. It is me that I am worried about, I just know I am going to have separation anxiety, I already have it and we haven’t even left yet!!! Good grief! The top of my list is going to Butchart Gardens, after that I will do whatever my hubs wants to do. I have already been there and this is his first trip.

Ooooo I’m a winner! Thanks so much Melissa. I’ve drooled over Contemporary Cloth’s website many times, and now I can justify a purchase! Enjoy your time away–Victoria is an incredibly beautiful place (Be sure to check out the high tea in the afternoon while you’re there. The Empress Hotel is incredible, but with the British influence in Victoria, anywhere does it up right!)

We’ve never vacationed without our kids (all 6 & under) so can understand your anxiety! Before we had kids we took a trip to Seattle & took a ferry over to Victoria. We unexpectedly encounterd a pod of orcas so that was a nice surprise to watch. Butchart Gardens is gorgeous and was a highlight for us, but if you haven’t done it before, I’d recommend high tea at the Empress Hotel; it’s a really special treat and we didn’t have to be all dressed up either. Lots of good memories of Victoria; thanks for reminding me of them ;>)
