Link up your craft book project at Craft Buds from Sept 23-30 from your blog or Flickr account, and enter to win prizes. Winners will be announced on Monday, October, 1!
To participate in the month-long contest, just link up any project you’ve made from a pattern in a craft book. That easy! You’ll tell us a little about the book, the project, how you personalized it, etc.

I love to look at craft books, but the last project I made from one was several years ago. All this online stuff has totally spoiled me.

The last book to really catch my attention and that made me bookmark several projects was Scandinavian Stitches: 21 Playful Projects with Seasonal Flair by Kajsa Wikman. Really nice projects that made me want to quilt/sew/create away.
Quilt books are the ones that most grab my attention.

I LOVE buying craft books! I’m always looking for inspiration everywhere I go. I’ve found some great bags that I’ve made. I also like stuffed animals etc… Books that catch my eye have projects that I don’t want to figure out how to do myself.

I look at mostly quilting magazines but the last book I looked at and got ideas from was Sew What You Love by Tanya Whelan and crochet books. I mostly look at books that are ease in understanding and the best tutorials. BUT since I have found blogs, I don’t buy as many books.

Projects that seem to say “you can do this, it is easy” catch my eye!
I love almost any craft type book as long as it involves fabric. I’ve always loved doing almost all crafts and have tried most of them as well. Currently however, I’m most interested in books with sewing for babies since I have a Granddaughter that is 6 months old and also a Grandson who turns 1 yr old today. Most books I’m buying right now are quilting books though, usually I tend to buy magazines but when buying books for quilting I like those with smaller projects like table runners and quilted gifts that are useful to a person.
Right now, the book that I love the most is Zakka Style. I have made quite a few of the projects in there and I love them.

I lve my modern blocks book. Use it like every week!!
I like to look at things I would actually use in my house. I’m not interested (for the most part) in things that are on the shelf just to look at.
I always like a book with lots of colorful pictures and an easy to read supply list.
normally i like embroidery books but now i’m totally in love with anything quilting, especially modern quilts.
