My favorite thing about spring is the snow disappearing. Winters in Wisconsin can entail snow on the ground for six months out of the year. It’s finally almost all gone and it just makes me happy to not have to wear winter boots.

I have a 6 month old and my favorite thing about Spring is being able to take him to the park. We have a playground near home and we stop by on the way home from daycare. Just seeing the big smile on his face when he’s in the swing is the best thing ever!

After the winter months of having the fire going, I love not having to keep it going and to be able to wear lighter clothes, but at the same time, I can still snuggle up to hubby of a night time to keep warm.
I love Spring, but unfortunately I live in the tropics, where it’s either hot and dry or hot and wet. But I remember during my childhood in Switzerland how I longed for Spring so I could wear \socks instead of those terrible woolen tights.

I love how things start to grow in my small garden.
I like spring in that it means an end to winter! As a previous commenter mentioned, it only lasts for about 2 weeks (I live in central TX!) but it is a temporary transition. It’s always great when the seeds from last year’s portulaca’s start popping up the initial two-leaved sprouts!

I love after the long Michigan winter how it all just suddenly bursts forth in color and warmth! the snow is gone, the ground is a velvety green carpet of grass, and every where fl0wers blooming!
I love when the trees are blooming (especially the redbuds, dogwoods, and cherries) before they leaf out. It’s this burst of color before we even see the greens of spring and I love starting that way!

My favorite things about spring are: my hillside of poppies I see outside of my kitchen window…and what I call the “obscene (because it’s so in-your-face) greenness” of the trees and grasses, which will change into mostly brown grasses by the end of April and May. Central CA foothills are at their loveliest in the Spring!!!
