Anne’s Last Day of School

Tuesday was Anne’s last day of preschool (sort of, she goes to preschool again next year too). I can’t believe how much she has grown! Over 2 inches, and she is just becoming the most amazing little person. I love her so much!

First Last Day of School - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comWhat I love is that after all these months, she is still saying she wants to be a pilot. I need to work on making her dream of flying come true!

Of course I had to make year end teacher gifts too! I ended up going back to the wonderful Craftsy class I took, Beginning Serging and made the awesome pouch from the class – except I made it FIVE times.  I really do love this pattern. The best part is I was able to do all 5 pouches entirely from my stash. This fact simply proves that I keep way too many craft supplies on hand because I needed 18″ zippers (5) in varying colors, fusible fleece and fabrics for the inside and out in the teacher’s favorite colors. Go figure I would have everything on hand.

2014 Teacher Gifts - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comDid you make end of year teacher gifts?

We are off to Anne’s end of year picnic with her school now, have a wonderful afternoon!!!

This was also one of my goals for Q2 of the FAL with Katy from The Littlest Thistle!

  1. I’m yet to make some as my girl ends school on 28th. Pretty pouches and it is lovely to keep a track how your girl grow. I like the board idea.

  2. Even her face looks more mature. She’s growing up! I love that you take these pictures. I should have been so smart! I love the pilot thing, too. Go, Anne! Those are great pouches. I laughed when you said you even had enough zippers. I don’t think there’s a zipper anywhere in my house, except possibly on jeans and one coat. LOL Certainly not a wild one waiting to be tamed in a project! Great fabrics for every one of them.

  3. Oh she does look a bit older. I think it’s great you had all that “in stock”. I’m always in need of zippers. The pouches are cute.

  4. It’s amazing to see the difference a year makes. You have a stash like me, except I’d need to buy zippers. The pouches are a great gift idea. They’re the kind of thing you could have on hand, for those unexpected times you need a gift.

  5. Awww, isn’t she beautiful? And she is at such a wonderful age. You must enjoy her so much!

BTW–love the WELCOME on the door! What a sweet touch!
