Today I am so lucky to be guest posting as part of the Q3 Finish Along with Katy over at The Littlest Thistle! You may have noticed that 2014 has been the year of the Lone Star for me, so today I am doing a tutorial over on Katy’s blog for a 12.5″ x 12.5″ unfinished Lone Star block. Head on over and check it out!

Great tutorial. I’ve made countless lone star quilts using Eleanor Burns strip piecing method. I used to make them for a consignment shop in Eurika Springs AR back in the 90’s. I can’t even remember how many I made. But I’ve never made just a 12″ block. Good to have the measurements! Thanks!

Melissa – thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I made a lone star block, once years ago and it was so hard. I think with your tutorial, I’ll give it another shot.
I just read your tut. I need to get into this … soon 🙂 but there are just way too many distractions.
Beautiful!
What a great tutorial! Thank you!
I have noticed a preponderance of Lone Stars. =) That’s a great one. Still have to find one more fabric for mine! Going to check out your post.
