If I was to tell you that 2015 is just not working out so well for me, would you take me at my word? In addition to all the things that have gone wrong with my fridge and house, then family and friends who passed away at the beginning of the month, for some reason Anne and I both decided to top off February with two separate trips to the ER. One for me – I sliced my finger open (learned a new rule – if you can make it talk, go to the doc); and one for Anne – she had her first ever headache and we couldn’t figure out what was going on. Needless to say I’m exhausted and would like a refund on the last 2 months!
I haven’t been able to sew much this week, something about one of my hands being bandaged and both hurting because I can’t take my RA meds – they impede healing. That being said, I still have a reveal for you!

I enjoyed making this quilt. It felt like too much pink so the backing is bright green with large flowers.
Here is one more pic all folded up:
I do love a good finish! You still have time to link up your February finish! The party closes on Saturday, February 28th and March goals go live on Sunday March 1st. Come join us for some fun, finishes and prizes!
Happy Thursday!
I love the quilt, the pink is so bright and fun. Perfect, way to contrast this cold winter. I am so sorry you had such a rough start to the year. I’m right there with you and can totally understand how much it hurts to not be able to take your RA medicine. I had surgery in the beginning of the month and had to stop one a week before and wait until a week after to restart. I wish you and Anne quick healing.
I am so very sorry for your losses. Hugs!
I hate it that you can’t take your RA drugs in order to heal. I hope it’s a speedy recovery. and hugs and kisses to Anne, I hope she is better!!
Tomorrow is a new day! Hope you heal up quickly, body and soul. Love, love, love your finish!
I am so sorry to hear that 2015 has been so off for you. I do hope it gets better and better for you… I like that you balanced the pink with a green backing, and I hope your niece gets a lot of love and use out of it.
I’m opting for a move to March and spring and better things for you and Anne! The finish is lovely. You never give up, no matter what else, and I admire that. I do not have a finish – I’m still hand-quilting! If I’d stuck with the machine quilting I had planned at the start of the month, I’d be finished, but that’s just how life is. =) March will have to do.
I hope March is the start of something better for both of you. I feel for you having the hand injury and not being able to take RA medicine. If you are like me, the cold makes it worse too.
Love the quilt! I do hope it all gets better!
wish i could give you a refund- that’s how the latter half of 2014 was to me 🙁 But your finish is fab, so hope that helps…
Oh I am sorry about the bad start…. so … shall I wish you Happy New Year on March 1st and let you have a do over? Love your pink quilt!!
Sorry to hear about all your troubles. Stay positive and break out of these bad days! Easier said than done 🙂
So sorry life has been so hard!! I hope that March and onward are much better for you!
I really like the binding you chose for this quilt.
