Charity Blocks – Catching Up

As many of you know, February was kind of a rough month for Anne and myself. I emailed my circle leader for Do. Good Stitches and asked if I could be a little late with the blocks for that month. She very kindly said it was fine. I finished my blocks yesterday both February and March.

Trust Circle - Do Good Stitches Feb 2015 - Ocean WavesThese blocks are called Ocean Waves and were designed by Erica Mallett from our circle @threelittlepumpkins on instagram. They are great but wow! 72 HSTs measuring 2″ finished. That’s a lot of HSTs.  I cannot wait to see this quilt all together as it will be just stunning.

For our March blocks we were asked to give one 12.5″ square of fabric and one log cabins using the colors green, orange and we could mix in low volume if we wanted to. My low volume supplies are running a bit low. I’ve used them a lot recently when I made the preschool quilts, so I stuck to green and orange.

Trust Circle - Do Good Stitches - March 2015 - Log CabinIt feels so nice to be caught up on bee blocks.  I also sent off two swap packages this month but I don’t want to blog about those until they have been received. Hopefully early next week I will be able to show the off!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

  1. Both of these are wonderful! I can understand why someone would use the hsts as a swap like this because you’re right, that’s a LOT of hst! It will be wonderful, I have a feeling. I hope things are balancing out for you now, and the rough patches are finished. It’s almost April!
