The last three years have been so much fun, Shanna and I have really enjoyed managing and running A Lovely Year of Finishes.
We have had the opportunity to work with some incredible sponsors and we have been lucky to see so many wonderful finishes, and finish a few projects ourselves.
That being said, we have decided it is time to take a break from A Lovely Year of Finishes, and it is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the end of A Lovely Year of Finishes.
We want to thank each and every person who linked up with us over the last three years. Give yourselves a huge round of applause, there have been over 3,000 finished projects linked up to our blogs. Talk about amazing!
We want to thank our incredible sponsors. Your generosity has be unparalleled.
This doesn’t mean that Shanna and I are going away or that our wonderful friendship is ending, merely that we want some time to re-focus ourselves, our blogs, and our sewing. We are excited for the future and we hope that you will keep up with your finishes.
The group on Facebook will still be live and you are always welcome to keep posting there if you need some cheer leading!
Now if you were able to successfully link up and complete 6 finishes this year, make sure you visit on January 1st for our 2015 Finale Link up – lots of great prizes will be awarded.
I will have many exciting things happening in 2016, so stay tuned!
Thank you ladies for your awesome work on this series, it’s been fantastic, so good to have encouragement and support throughout the year. It has been a really helpful exercise for me to set a goal each month and I plan to continue to do so, it’s helped to get some WIP’s moved too! Best wishes for 2016
Thank you Melissa and Shanna for running us to the finish line. I will miss the deadline to get things done each month, but I’m looking forward to what next year had in store for both of you.
Thank you so much for hosting this for the past several years. It is a great motivational game to play and keep up with our projects. I totally understand wanting to do something new though. Change is always a good thing. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned!
This is bittersweet, indeed, but you have shown me how much I can accomplish by setting a deadline–or a series of them. (Hmm…remember school, and cramming, and deadlines? Even we procrastinators managed to turn something in.) When my quilty planner arrives, I will be setting my own monthly goals, and I will thank you every month for setting me on this path. And perhaps I’ll give myself a gift at the end of the year if I accomplish a certain percentage of them!
Thanks for the hard work and enthusiasm you and Shanna put into this *for years*! Thousands of completed goals! Think of how many acts of kindness and feelings of accomplishment that translates into! Pretty amazing.
Sorry to see it end, but it’s been a great year. All the best for 2016.
You have helped me with so many finishes with the accountability of posting my finish at the end of the month. Thank you so much for all you have done with A Lovely Year of Finishes!! It’s a whole lot because of you that there have been over 3,000 finishes!!! Looking forward to seeing what 2016 holds for you and your blog.
Thanks so much for all your efforts. It was lots of fun.
I’m sad to see it go, but I completely understand that you have one or two other things you’d like to do. =) I will stick around and see those wonderful things. Thank you so much for doing it the past three years. It’s been a great experience!
You two have changed how I face my hobby. Thank you from the very selvage of my heart. I would love to sponsor the January link up with my same prize, and wish you both lots of lovely finishes!
Thank you for everything! Even though my life took a crazy, 80 hour work week turn, I still enjoyed knowing you were there! All the best to you in 2016!

Thanks so much for doing this! I will miss having that little extra incentive to get things done!
Thank you so much for running this. I had a blast!
I’m so sad. I’ve enjoyed the past few years. I’ve made wonderful sewing friends with you and Shanna. You’ve helped me stay motivated by making goals and supporting me!
