Fiber of All Sorts

Customer Quilt – Shanna’s Postage Stamp Quilt

Sorry I have been so absent lately, family life needs to always come first and Anne is my number one concern. I only have a few minutes to type this while she is busy with a task and I just finished up my latest customer quilt. To see my most recent finishes check out my Facebook Page or my Instagram Account!

Have you ever felt like you’ve been given an extremely special gift? That’s how I felt last month when Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts asked me to quilt her very first quilt top that she made!  I felt so incredibly honored and at the same time scared! It had to be perfect because this it this quilt that made her a quilter!

I decided it needed curvy orange peels, and LOTS of them!

Postage Stamp Quilt - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comDoesn’t the texture just look completely fantastic? For some reason my camera is struggling to take good pictures from far away, I will have my tech guy (also known as my dad) look at it at Christmas, but in the meantime here is a somewhat blurry picture that does not do this quilt any justice at all!

Postage Stamp Quilt - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comThe texture on the back looks pretty darn amazing too!

Postage Stamp Quilt - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comI just love those curvy orange peels!

Remember I do custom quilting work, I am now offering a very limited selection of extra wide backings and my rates start as low as 1.5 cents per square inch for all over edge-to-edge designs. Please keep me in mind for all of your quilting needs. I can accommodate up to king size quilts on my frame!

Home Sewing Retreat

Sometimes you just need a little makeshift sewing retreat. Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts, my A Lovely Year of Finishes co-host, came up from Oregon this week for a visit. While Anne was at school yesterday, we got to sew!

Shanna - Fiber of All Sorts - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comShanna borrowed Irene, my trusty featherweight, seriously, if you ever come to my house to sew, no need to bring a machine, I’ve got plenty! Today we are going to install the new red snappers on my long arm after a trip to the grocery store, Anne insists that I have to feed her!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

A Lovely Year of Finishes – 2015 Finale Link Up

alyof2015How did you do in 2015? Were you able to finish at least 6 of the goals that you posted and linked up in 2015? If so you are in luck! You qualify to enter our finale link up party! We have some awesome prizes.

In order to be eligible you must have finished at least 6 goals that you linked to either Shanna or myself during 2015. In you link up post, please include a mosaic of the finished projects and a link to your goal and finish post to each one.

2015 was a big year of finishes for me. Since I’m not eligible to win prizes I decided to simply show off all of my finishes from the year!

2015 Finishes - https://test.sewbittersweetdesigns.comBelieve it or not, making this mosaic took me all day on the 31st, I was having some technical difficulties!

We would like to take a moment and thank all of our wonderful sponsors who have stood with us over the years. Their generosity is what has kept this project going all these years!
