Four months down and 8 more to go. I think 2014 might be the fastest year I’ve had yet. I guess it is true that each year your child ages time speeds up. Things I am looking forward to in May: planting my seedlings, seeing Anne’s flowers bloom that we planted in April, and the weather starting to warm up (I hope).

For the month of May I want to remake my Flowering Lone Star quilt in the new fabrics I bought last month. I need to take detailed pictures so that I can write up a pattern. I really hope I can get this done.

Woohoo! I finished my goal for A Lovey Year of Finishes for April. This is the closest I have cut it to the wire, but hey, it is done and I am happy. In fact I am probably going to cry the day I stick it in the mail to my partner!

I just love how it turned out and it looks so great on my wall, alas, I will be sending it off.

April has just flown by for me. It feels like it came in like a tornado. I have been pretty productive, a couple finishes and a couple near finishes. My goal is one of those near finishes. I will likely be waiting until the very last minute to finish because I am hoping that my swap partner will comment on a picture on Flickr. No luck yet, but I remain hopeful, if she doesn’t comment soon, I will use my best judgment and move forward!

Since this picture was taken, I have finished the quilting and trimmed it up. All that’s left is to pick a binding and make the label. Where do you stand? Did you finish?

Did you have a lot of March showers? Spring is definitely coming in like a lion in Washington. We have had all kinds of rain, though the last 4 days have been just lovely! I even managed to finish my goal – if you will remember it was to quilt and bind this lovely top and back below.

It is all done and I will be doing a reveal post later in the week! I will also be writing a pattern for this quilt, so if you are interested in testing please feel free to send me a note!
