This month is going to be hectic for us. My bottom floor is being moved out this Friday (along with my sewing studio), and our floors are being re-done during spring break. After that’s done I get to unpack and re-organize our house. Because we will be in a hotel for a week I prepped two hand work projects and one is a must finish because it is my homecoming gift for my hubs. I need to sew the binding down on his welcome home quilt.

It is all quilted, done by the wonderful Vicki from Orchid Owl Quilts. I will do a full reveal with the quilt is done!

Does that say March?!? What happened to February? February is almost a wasted month for me, it is never here for long enough. With March here that means it is time for a new fresh goal. My guild has our yearly exhibit at our local Arts Walk in April and I need to get my project quilted and bound. Since it is a secret project (my choice, not the rules), I’m only showing the backing today.

The quilt is already spray basted, now I just need an awesome quilting plan (I sort of have one in the back of my mind) and I need to bind it.

Well I survived this month. Let me tell you…it has been an emotional roller coaster. I am so glad that I picked a small goal that I could accomplish this month. Next month will be more of the same, as well April. My floors are going to be completely ripped out and replaced, which means Anne and I will have to move out for a full week and also take care of a lot of the moving prep as well. No one is moving my sewing machines except me! LOL

Here is my finished bound baby quilt.

I will post more photos later this week! It has been delivered and I’m told is well loved. Which is what every quilter wants to hear!
