I’m so thrilled to see so many recaps of 2014 and personally to kick 2014 out the door.

The new-ness of 2015 and all it’s possibilities make me smile.

Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts and I are so excited to be here all year long for another year of A Lovely Year of Finishes.

January will be a huge quilting month for me…

I have 4 quilts to make! And a huge deadline to hit. Below is one of the quilt backs. The backs are all done, all I have left to do is sash the blocks for the front, quilt and bind. Wish me luck!

These quilts are being donated to Anne’s preschool and auctioned off for their scholarship fund. The fronts are all the hand prints of the kids, and the backs are pixel hearts surrounded by the teacher hands. I wanted this quilt to convey the love that these kids are surrounded by on a daily basis.

Hello finishes.

That’s right it’s time to recap what we’ve accomplished in 2014 …last year.

A Lovely Year of Finishes that Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts and I co-lead has been awesome!

Here are my finished A Lovely Year of Finishes projects that I finished.

As you can see they aren’t always finished products but they are great accomplishments, for me.

I didn’t finish all of my goals, but I am mighty proud of the ones that I did finish, and as we all know…life happens! 🙂

A Lovely Year of Finishes – December Finish Party

This marks 24 months of ‘A Lovely Year of Finishes’ Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts and I have kept going even with our busy times.

We are planning on doing it again in 2015…so keep an eye out for a new button and new and continuing sponsors to keep us all encouraged.

Merry Christmas to those of you celebrating, I will be spending the day with my wonderful Anne and my family, all the while thinking of my husband who is missing yet another holiday at home.

And remember to check everyone else out too. ALYoF is awesome only because of all of YOU.

My goal was to get started on my Disney Mini Quilt Swap project. When I posted at the beginning of the month, I had two printed silhouettes. Now I have a quilted mini and it simply needs a label and binding! Woohoo! This will easily be finished and mailed on time in January.
