A Lovely Year of Finishes – July Goals!

ALYoF2014Well hello July! Now that summer is in full swing I am beginning to think of more portable sewing projects. My goal this month is to work on my hexagon quilt. In order to do make the quilt, I need to finish making my hexies. I have one set of hexagons left to make and I will have them done by the end of July! Then I can start piecing my quilt!!!!

I love both of these lines so much and I can’t wait to start piecing my quilt, that being said I still have about 150 left to piece so my goal this month is to finish piecing them.

Woohoo! I finished my goal for A Lovey Year of Finishes for April. This is the closest I have cut it to the wire, but hey, it is done and I am happy. In fact I am probably going to cry the day I stick it in the mail to my partner!

ALYoF2014April has just flown by for me. It feels like it came in like a tornado. I have been pretty productive, a couple finishes and a couple near finishes. My goal is one of those near finishes. I will likely be waiting until the very last minute to finish because I am hoping that my swap partner will comment on a picture on Flickr. No luck yet, but I remain hopeful, if she doesn’t comment soon, I will use my best judgment and move forward!

Week 16 Sewing Goals

This week I have a very simple goal – I have 8 inches of quilting left on my Hexie Wall Hanging, I want to get it done. I know 8 inches doesn’t seem like much but matchstick quilting is way more time consuming than I ever thought!  I have a small goal because tomorrow night my MOM is coming for a visit!!!
