So I hit a milestone this week on Twitter, I now have over 500 followers! WOW! I can’t believe that even 5 people care what I have to say, let alone 500. I am also 4 fans away from 800 on my Facebook Page! Holy Buckets Batman! So I thought I would have a fun and random giveaway.
This is a nice sized pile of selvages. I started collecting them last year when I was seeing all kinds of awesome projects on pinterest made with selvages. Well since I am trying to finish projects instead of start new ones, I thought I would give these to someone who would use them and enjoy them! What do you think?

Happy Friday Everyone! Today I have Fat Quarter Shop here and I’m going to talk about “the most beautiful time of the year”. I love Christmas, not because of presents and toys but because it is when I get to see my family. Fat Quarter Shop has one of the largest collections of holiday fabrics that you will find anywhere. In fact they have a separate site for it all, The Christmas Cloth Store. I have spent the last 2 years working with fabrics in my stash to make my Vintage Christmas Sampler quilt, now that I have finished the top, I can now start fantasizing about some new lines because I have used what I had on hand! Woohoo!

These lines couldn’t be more different than the vintage fabrics I’ve been working with and I just LOVE them. What I love most about Fat Quarter Shop’s Christmas Cloth Store is that you can find ALL types of lines there. Vintage inspired, traditional and modern. There is something to be said for a one-stop shopping experience!
One of my favorite lines right now is Cherry Christmas by Aneela Hoey. It is fun and modern. Fat Quarter Shop recently sent me a layer cake and I’ve been tossing around the idea of making Anne an Advent Calendar…hopefully that will happen before December 1st rolls around! They also have a layer cake for you too!!!

Happy 4th of July! This day is of special significance to my family. My husband is currently serving overseas to protect our freedoms and our independence, which is exactly what this day is about, celebrating those freedoms. I know what you are thinking…this is the most unpatriotic bundle you’ve ever seen. Let me explain. When I think of freedom, I think of birds, flying high in the sky without a care in the world. They have absolute freedom. The kind of freedom I hope my husband and his fellow soldiers are fighting for. It represents the kind of freedom I see in my daughter when she is dancing in her playroom with her arms thrown up and her eyes closed tight. This is what I will be celebrating today, that type of freedom and the strength it took 200+ years ago to fight for it.
